The term "hunting knife" has always bugged me; yes, this knife is well suited for hunting--but there is nothing about it that makes it ill-suited for anything else. This knife is a companion, ideal for carry while hunting, hiking, camping, picnicking, or anything else out in the great outdoors.
This is a rare one, with a blade made from my own "New England Breeze" stainless damascus steel. Stainless steel is much, much harder to work with than high carbon, and while technically it sacrifices just a little bit of performance, it makes up for that with the fact that it is stainless--it will never rust or tarnish--so it is much lower maintenance than high carbon steel.
