Sharpening one knife is not a lot of work. Sharpening 70 knives is a lot of work.
AVAILABLE: This is Mountain Shadow, an imposing, 39” sword. The 33” hollow/saber ground blade is made from 147,600 layer damascus steel, and the 6” hilt is blued steel and claro walnut with silver accents. The total weight is ~1260g, with a balance point about 7.5” in front of the guard. I call it a Nepalese cavalry saber because I based the blade on my style of kukri, but if we want to stick with historical typologies it is more properly a yataghan blade mounted in a kilij-esque hilt. Beer! @leagueofnhcraftsmen has partnered with 16 brewers throughout the state to collaborate with craftsmen on their own unique beer, and @wildbloombeer chose to work with me! Devin is an incredible brewer, and after getting to know each other a bit we realized we shared a lot of common ground in our ethos as makers. Devin designed the Bladesmith (a dark English mild) around a moment, a sip. It’s the end of the day after hours in the forge fire. I’m exhausted, maybe a little dehydrated. I want something cold and refreshing, low ABV but still flavorful and interesting. This brew absolutely nails it. Check out Wildbloom’s taproom in Littleton to try it, or come taste it at the Craftsmen’s Fair at Mount Sunapee August 1-9!
