The Mid Range Hunter is my own take on a classic drop-point hunting knife, and I designed it to a hunter’s companion in the field. The slim but deeply bellied blade makes this design nimble enough for delicate work, but without compromising too much on size and “grunt.” The drop-point tip makes it easier to work blind without poking anything accidentally. The blade is also hollow ground to increase stiffness and reduce weight.
The knife is a hidden-tang construction, with a solid wood handle shaped as much for comfort as for grip security. The guard at the front of the handle will not only keep your fingers from slipping forward onto the edge, but will also allow you to find and maintain the right grip under compromising conditions, by feel alone.
There’s a reason the drop-point hunter is a staple out in the field; it’s just a great design.
