This is my signature take on the Gurkha kukri, a combat machete wielded by the legendary Gurkha battalion of Nepal. The kukri is one of my absolute favorite knife designs from anywhere in the world and anywhere in history, with its dramatic and sinuous recurved edge. The blade features 800 layer damascus steel and some lively vine-pattern filework along the spine. This knife locks into your hand and absolutely sings. I named it Shadow Dancer when a friend saw it standing on its point and said that it looked like a dancer twirling in the night.
